Now, don’t get us wrong, the men’s heavyweight divisions are still very popular, but at the Olympia these days, more and more people are choosing aesthetics oversize.

The men’s physique and fitness divisions, for example, are attracting more attention than ever before, from fans of the sport and sponsors alike.

Now, if you’re a fan of the men’s fitness and physique divisions, you will no doubt be familiar with the bodybuilder known as Andrei Deiu.

Andrei Deiu is considered by many to be one of the best in the industry.

What’s even more impressive is the fact that he is still in his mid-twenties, and has yet to hit his peak.

Andrei has one of the most aesthetic physiques in the business today, but outside of bodybuilding, not a great deal is known about this hugely gifted young lifter from Romania.

We want to change that.

Here’s a detailed look at the bodybuilder known as Andrei Deiu.

Who Is Andrei Deiu?

Andrei Deiu is a fitness model and men’s physique bodybuilder from Romania, who many believe has one of the most aesthetic physiques in the sport of bodybuilding today.

Andrei is a very successful bodybuilding and fitness model, with numerous wins and achievements under his belt, along with photoshoots, fitness magazine covers, endorsements, sponsorship deals, supplement deals, and a whole lot more besides.

What’s interesting to note is that Andrei is perhaps better known for his modeling work, than for his bodybuilding career, despite the numerous wins he has collected along with the podium finishes.

Known for his quiet and introverted temperament, Andrei likes to keep himself to himself, but don’t let that fool you, because he is one of the kindest, most approachable young men in the sport of bodybuilding.

Early Life:

Andrei Deiu was born in Romania on the 8th of May, 1996.

Growing up in Romania, Andrei was a quiet child and wasn’t overly social.

He was a pleasant young boy, though he was a bit introverted and didn’t really have many friends.

At a young age, Andrei’s parents moved to the United Kingdom to start a new life for themselves, and while this helped them and Andrei in a lot of ways, it didn’t really do much for his social life as he was a young child in a new country, unable to speak the language, and having to deal with weariness from the locals, due to the fact that he was a foreigner and was considered to be an “outsider” as it were.

A lot of bodybuilders and fitness models were found to be very active and sporty from a young age, showing interest in physically active games and sports, and clearly being athletically gifted.

But not Andrei.

As Andrei was so introverted, he spent much of his free time in his bedroom by himself, playing video games instead of socializing and spending time with friends.

As Andrei wasn’t getting much exercise, and because he ate unhealthy foods such as potato chips and candy, while drinking energy drinks, Andrei began gaining weight and developed an unhealthy relationship with food.

Andrei began gaining more and more weight and developed body issues because of his unhealthy diet and lack of exercise.

He continued to feel this way for a while, until finally, aged 15, he decided that enough was enough and he decided to lose weight and get in shape by going to the gym.

Andrei, because he had grown up so isolated and introverted, admitted to struggling in the gym at first because it was a social environment and he was nervous.

Despite this, he stuck with it and cleaned up his diet and slowly but surely he began losing the weight and toning up.

By 17 years of age, Andrei had drastically improved his body as he lost a huge amount of fat, toned up, and also built a bit of lean muscle mass in the process. it was clear by now, that Andrei had been genetically gifted as a youngster and was made to be a bodybuilder.

Andrei, who now was a completely different young man from the one he was years prior, was encouraged by his friends to pursue bodybuilding as it was clear he had all of the tools necessary to do very well in the sport.

Bodybuilding And modeling:

At 17 years of age, after a few more months of training, Andrei entered his first bodybuilding contest.

It was nothing big, just a local competition, but Andrei decided to enter the men’s physique division.

Sadly, he did not place here but it was his first attempt, he was a complete novice, and he knew what to expect the next time.

Not deterred, Andrei went back to the drawing board and tweaked his diet and his training.

He worked his butt off in the gym, he trained hard, he followed a structured workout plan, and he would go ahead and clean up his diet, ramping up his protein intakes in the process.

Andrei’s next show was the Miami UK Fitness and Model Championships in St Albans.

This time, Andrei was ready as he was leaner than before, he was fuller, and he had put on a lot of lean muscle mass.

This time, he was successful as he won the overall Men’s Physique title, and rightly so.

Andrei would go on to enter other UK bodybuilding contests and he would win plenty more and place very well consistently.

Now it was clear that he was destined for greater things.

Andrei decided that he wanted to turn pro and so he set his sights on getting his IFBB pro card.

He would go on to enter the Amateur Olympia contest, placing 1st overall and securing his IFBB pro card.

Finally, he was a pro bodybuilder, but this was only the beginning.

Andrei was now a force to be reckoned with, and after various sponsorships and endorsements, along with modeling photoshoots, he now had some disposable income to his name.

He invested his money.

Not in Bitcoin, not in stocks and shares, and not in property.

Instead, he invested the money in himself, by hiring Hany Rambod.

Hany Rambod was known as the ‘Pro Creator’ because he had helped so many amateurs turn pros.

Okay, Andrei didn’t need Hany to turn pro, but he needed him to succeed as a pro.

Hany is one of the most respected trainers in the industry and has worked with, amongst others, Phil Heath and Jay Cutler, helping them to secure multiple Olympia titles.

In 2019, Andrei entered and won the Romania Muscle Fest Pro on his home soil.

Not only was this an impressive win, but it also meant that Deiu would go on to qualify for the Mr. Olympia contest the following year alongside Chris Bumstead.

2020 came along and Andrei made his debut at the Olympia in the Men’s Physique Division, where on his debut he placed in a very impressive 5th.

He would go on to win the Texas Pro 2021, before entering the 2021 Olympia a few months ago.

He didn’t place as well as he had hoped, but he still placed 7th, which is nothing to be sneered at.

As well to bodybuilding, Andrei has also proved to be a very successful fitness model, having modeled for Evogen, Father Sons, Man Active, and many more big names besides.

This, along with his social media pages, has really helped to supplement his income and help him to invest in himself.

All the while being in his twenties still.

Andrei trains hard all year long, not because he competes all year long, but because he has to stay in shape for photoshoots, which can be arranged with very little notice.

Andrei trains 7 days a week, choosing often to pair up muscle groups, rather than follow a 5-day split as some bodybuilders do.

Because Andrei has to stay so ripped and lean all year long, his diet is now super clean and is a stark contrast to how it was a decade or so ago when he was an overweight teenager.

He eats typical bodybuilding foods like egg whites, chicken breast, salmon, oats, brown rice, green veggies, steak, almond butter, sweet potato, white rice, and so on.

He also uses whey protein supplements, fat burners, multivitamins, fish oils, BCAAs, and CLA.
