Hey there, and thanks for stopping by.

My name is Reda Elmardi, and I’m the man who created The Gym Goat.

about us Reda Elmardi

For as long as I can remember, fitness and training have been huge parts of my life, and as I’ve gotten older, I decided I want to give something back to you, the reader.

Also, I'm a Registered Dietitian, CSCS trainer, and contributor on many websites such as lifehack.org, Healthline.com, HuffPost, and many other sites.

I understand better than anybody just how difficult it is to find the time to exercise, and indeed, how tough it can be to wade through all of the nonsense articles and blogs online, written by so-called “diet” companies or online personal trainers with no real interest in getting people fit and healthy, which is why I created this site.

Our Goal:

When I created this site, I assembled the best team of experts I could find, from web developers and editors to copywriters and fitness experts like my teammates Rebecca Guterman, Esther Kohen.

Our goal was, and still is, very simple – to make fitness easier for the everyday individual.

I know how tough it can be to find credible and unbiased fitness advice online, and I know just how tough it can be to actually get started, especially if you’re lacking motivation or have found that you just don’t know where to begin.

We understand that everything starts and ends with good fitness and health, and that’s exactly what we want you to benefit from.

We want to create a place online where people can visit and find the latest articles, resources, and info based on health, fitness, exercise, nutrition, and much more besides, without having to wade through endless filler content with an ulterior motive of pushing the latest fad diet plan or “miracle supplement”.

Tomek and Martin are our latest team members and will be responsible for the new content on the site. Tomek is a certified personal trainer who ultimately decided to pursue an online career as it gives him a broader reach and can help more people around the world that way. He has been a respected fitness icon in the Nordics for the last decade.

Martin is a professional boxer and MMA fighter who lost 182 pounds and truly embraced the fitness life. He is now 100% dedicated to his MMA career and helps out with research and proof-checking of the content.

Together, these two gentlemen will share their experience and wisdom in the topics of fitness, exercise, diet and research.

Safe to say, you're in safe hands!

For as long as I can remember, health and fitness have been a huge part of my life, and I am fiercely passionate about them.

When I compiled this site, I knew I had to find a team of people who shared my passion and my vision, which is why I know this site will give you so much back.

Each and every single individual in my team is passionate about health and fitness, knowledgeable, and experienced in their respective fields.

Why Do We Want You to Care About Health And Fitness?

I don’t mind telling you that there have been times in my life when I have struggled, both mentally and physically. And so have many other team mates.

One of the best solutions I could find in times of trouble, however, was exercise.

Exercise helps to promote good physical and mental health and can improve your overall quality of life quite substantially.

Exercise and good health can protect you from illness, boost your immune system, improve your mental health, improve your quality of life, and a whole lot more—just like they did to me.

Health and fitness have helped me and countless others, and they can and will help you as well.

Possessing the tools and the knowledge required to construct a viable health and fitness regime will improve the overall quality of your life exponentially, not to mention boost your longevity, help protect you from illness, sharpen your cognitive function, and boost your mental health as well.

With the guys and gals on our site providing you with the necessary info, you can embark on your new fitness and weight loss journey safely, knowing that you’re learning from the best and most trusted sources.

2024 – New Year, New Look

After four years of running the site, I had to take it to the next level by employing a new look and handing it over to Tomek and Martin for future development. The new team is focused on growing the site with new, inspiring content that is now more user-friendly than ever.
